The Hoya HRT's are not a coated circular polarizer
The UV filtration added is not needed for digital cameras.
We have always believed multi coating on camera filters
for digital or any type of camera matters.

Interesting how can the multicoated Hoya circular polarizers cost less,
than the new Hoya HRT not coated???
In the Hoya literature for the Hoya Pro 1 Product
Hoya strongly recommends multi coats
Hoya points out all the benefits.
So now how can the HRT polarizer's not optically coated be better,
is this double talk?

As of August 2010, Hoya 77mm Circular polarizers
NYC street priced HD is $166 (last year $224)
and the HRT is $146. the prices make no sense
except they are very over inflated in our opinion
If you want to buy Hoya, be careful where you buy, some dealers are selling for less

It makes no sense, to spend over $200 on a polarizer
you can buy a 12 mega pixel national brand
5x zoom camera for less.
Why does it cost more for one piece
