 The B+W Redhancer filter, made from didymium glass, is a camera filter with very special transmission characteristics. Designed to strengthen the reddish components of orange, near red or brown subjects, it is very popular for use in nature and landscape photography. It is particularly effective in conjunction with a polarizing filter, controlling a potentially bluish-gray veil and for increasing color saturation, e.g. to capture fabulously vivid scenery during the colorful autumn season.
