LEE Filters SW150 Special Edition Landscape Kit 2 for Sigma 12-24mm

Includes - LEE Filters SW150 Mark II Filter Holder, Sigma 12-24mm Adapter Ring, SW150 Little Stopper, SW150 Circular Polarizer & SW150 Soft Edge Grad Set!

Landscape photographers have long understood the benefits of ultra-wide angle lenses, but their design constraints made the use of filters virtually impossible. Now, the SW150 Mark II filter system opens up opportunities for the creative use of filters, without the need to be concerned about vignetting.

The SW150 Mark II filter holder comes assembled with two filter slots and includes the SW150 Lightshield, enabling you to use neutral density graduated filters in combination with other filters. The included lightshield helps to prevent unwanted back reflections and creates a light tight seal enabling the use of Little Stopper.

At six stops, the Little Stopper is ideal for those low-light conditions at the beginning and end of the day allowing you to enjoy increased flexibility with exposure lengths. In many shooting conditions, this means that detail and texture in areas of movement such as the sky and water would be retained, while still conveying a sense of time passing.

The Lee Little Stopper is a long-exposure filter that allows you to extend the exposure by approximately six stops, permitting either a longer shutter speed or a wider aperture - or a combination of the two. In the past, such long exposures have been problematic because of the potential for light leaks, but the Little Stopper features a foam gasket which fits firmly against the filter holder and ensures that a light tight seal is achieved.

This new polarizing filter for the SW150 Mark II is a must have tool in the photographer's camera bag. It removes reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as glass and water, and it increases color saturation and deepens blue skies, making white clouds stand out in sharp relief.

Normally, light waves vibrate in all places at right angles to the direction of its travel. Polarized light, however, vibrates in only one plane. A polarizing filter, therefore, allows through only those waves which vibrate in the plane parallel to the lines in the filter. By rotating the filter, certain waves pass through it, while others bounce off. It is this process of cutting out certain waves of light from reflected surfaces that makes colors appear more saturated. In addition, because much of the light in the sky on a clear, sunny day is polarized, the polarizing filter removes these waves, hence the appearance of a deeper, stronger blue in the final image.

Whatever format you shoot, LEE Graduated Neutral Density filters help all cameras record scenes more like we see them - with a broad tonal range that's lost if not captured in the moment. LEE Soft Edge Graduated Filters perform best in the woodlands, mist, or interiors or any horizon line that has deviation such Rock Formations, Mountains, and trees - wherever there is no definite transition between sky and foreground, a soft grad will gently balance exposure across the image. LEE filters Neutral Density Grads can be stacked together, or with other filters, so you can respond to almost any lighting situation.

The SW150 Little Stopper & SW150 Circular Polarizer both come in a protective Metal tin.
