The Haida Red Diamond Horizon ND filter is used to darken the horizon line of an image during a sunrise or sunset, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image.
The Horizon filter is an ND 1.2 filter, providing four stops of light reduction. Haida filters ship in a protective metal case and are 2mm thick so they are compatible with many of the most popular 100mm filter holders available today, including the Haida 100mm M10 Filter Holder and the LEE100 Filter Holder.
